Competition - Finalist

The design vision integrates the building seamlessly into the fabric of city's old town, drawing inspiration from the traditional pitched roof typology. Reflecting the intimate scale of the historic center, the building is composed of three adjacent volumes. The pitched roof front facing Markttwiete establishes crucial urban connections between the surrounding streetscape and the town hall square. An elegant two-story arcade, reminiscent of the historic town hall arcade, enhances the streetscape continuity. This configuration strengthens the spatial relationship with the market square, enhancing its prominence.

Our design proposes a brick facade featuring a range of textures, from smooth surfaces to intricate three-dimensional arrangements, adding visual interest and depth to the building's profile.
