Josef Bieling (1919–1981) founded the architectural office in his hometown of Kassel in 1955. The focus of his work as an architect was the planning and execution of religious buildings in the dioceses of Fulda, Paderborn and Hildesheim.

 

Throughout his career, he built 35 churches and rebuilt and renovated numerous buildings in the dioceses. In addition, he was commissioned to provide architectural services for nursing homes, kindergartens, rest homes, community centers, hospitals, schools, hotels and residential buildings.

The most outstanding projects completed by Josef Bieling include St. Bonifatius and St. Theresia in Kassel.
